Responsibilities
- Drive the product development lifecycle from ideation through launch, collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape product vision, strategy, and roadmaps.
- Leverage design thinking principles to deeply understand customer pain points, ideate solutions, and prototype features that meet user needs.
- Conduct market research, analyze customer feedback, and monitor industry trends to identify product opportunities.
- Ensure Product Quality: Check product quality before delivery to internal teams and clients to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Develop clear and detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that align with business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and data teams, drawing on your technical knowledge to facilitate product development.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders in both Japan and Vietnam, using language skills to bridge cultural nuances and ensure alignment across teams.
- Cross-Functional and Client Collaboration: Support Sales and Customer Support with pre-sale proposals, and communicate with clients to clarify their demands.
Your skills and experience
Must have
- Language Skills: Fluent in both Japanese and Vietnamese, with strong written and communication abilities to collaborate across two offices.
- Product Management Experience: 2+ years as a Product Manager, ideally in a tech or startup environment.
- Customer-Centric Mindset: Demonstrated ability to understand and prioritize customer needs, with a track record of creating products that deliver real value.
- Project Management Skills: Strong organizational abilities, time management with experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable product features and improvements.
Nice to have
- Experienced in working with Japanese clients.
- Design Thinking: Experience with or knowledge of design thinking methodologies, including user-centered design and problem-solving frameworks.
- Technical Background: Background in engineering or computer science, with experience in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, or SQL), enabling effective collaboration with technical teams.
- Industry Knowledge: Prior experience with data-driven platforms, CDPs, or Voice of Consumer (VoC) tools.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or relevant technical certifications are a plus.
