Job description
The Project Manager (Tech) is responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle and tasks, coordinating between external partners and internal teams, and ensuring the project is implemented within scope, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.
- Full project lifecycle management: inception, planning, implementation, monitoring, and project closure.
- Act as a bridge and coordinate work between partners and internal teams (Dev, Data, DevOps, Business).
- Project planning: timeline, milestones, resource allocation, dependency management.
- Control scope, schedule, budget, and quality; manage and mitigate risks.
- Manage the backlog, organize Agile/Scrum rituals (sprint planning, daily, review, retro), or manage using Waterfall/PRINCE2 methods depending on the project's specifics.
- Monitor, compile, and report progress periodically to management and stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and resolve obstacles (blockers), and coordinate efforts to ensure the project is not interrupted.
- Ensure project documentation is complete and clear; support compliance with process, security, and legal requirements in the financial sector.
- Job requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Project Manager / Project Coordinator / Delivery Lead role, preferably in the technology, finance/banking, or fintech sectors.
- Master the Software Development Lifecycle Framework (SDLC) and project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall).
- Strong planning, risk management, and schedule control skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; professional demeanor, confidence, and clear presentation when working directly with partners .
- Proficient in using project management tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Trello, Leantime, or equivalent).
- Good English skills: able to read and understand technical documents and communicate effectively with partners.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and under high pressure to meet deadlines.
Prioritize
- Possess PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum (CSM, PSM…) certifications.
- Experienced in digital lending, LOS/LMS/Core Banking.
- Understanding system integration via APIs and data flows between partners.
- I previously worked in an environment that adhered to financial industry regulations (SBV, PDPL, etc.).
