Job Overview
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations and providing direct support to the CFO in tasks that would normally fall under the purview of the Chief Accountant. This includes preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and contributing to the development and improvement of internal financial systems and processes.
During the company's growth phase, this position requires a high level of independence, solid expertise, and initiative in developing efficient and scalable accounting processes.
Main mission
- Manage ledgers, reconciliations and journal entries to ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to present to CFO.
- Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and asset/liability accounts.
- Monitor and manage company cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), IFRS/GAAP, Vietnamese Tax Law and internal policies.
- Assist CFO in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and cash flow management.
- Participate in establishing, maintaining and improving accounting systems, procedures and internal controls.
- Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions for improvement.
- Coordinate with departments to provide necessary documents and information.
- Prepare documentation and support for internal and external audits.
- Financial analysis to support project costing, purchasing and operating decisions.
- Supervise and guide junior accounting staff as needed.
- Perform other tasks assigned by CFO/Direct Manager.
REQUEST
Qualifications & Experience
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Having a professional certificate (CPA, ACCA or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction, manufacturing or project industry.
- Solid understanding of Vietnamese tax laws and tax compliance.
- Mastery of IFRS/GAAP, VAS and tax reporting.
- Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, meticulous and accurate.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with departments.
