Job Description
Early morning work
Check the entire cash register: Machines, equipment, tools… make sure they are still working well.
Check if the number of forms and payment invoice printing paper is enough for the working shift, proactively replenish in time.
Check the amount of change, proactively exchange money to meet the working shift requirements.
Check VAT invoices from previous shift, report to management when errors are found.
Record order information
Receive payment requests from service staff, print payment receipts – check for accuracy and send to service staff for re-checking before serving to customers.
If the customer has a promotional voucher, discount coupon or VIP card, the deduction will be applied to the customer's payment bill.
When customers pay in cash: Receive payment directly from customers or from service staff, count carefully, check real or fake money, classify and put in drawer according to denomination; return change - if any.
In case the customer pays by credit card, the cashier must check the card number, perform the card swipe correctly and compare the customer's signature.
Check the information on the invoice again, ensure accuracy and deliver the invoice to the customer.
Save the number of invoices issued during the shift in the invoice tracking book.
Support and handle problems arising during work shifts:
Coordinate with service staff to separate and combine tables, observe guests, and ensure that all guests who dine at the restaurant must pay in full before leaving.
Coordinate to resolve arising issues such as: customers canceling ordered items, printing wrong invoices...
Quickly report to superiors any problems that arise with machines and equipment used to process payments for customers to receive timely support.
Carry out cash exchange requests for customers but still ensure sufficient prescribed limits.
End of shift execution
Count the amount of money collected during the service shift to ensure it matches the amount recorded in the Cashier software. Hand over the money to the recipient according to the Restaurant's handover form with a printed copy of the shift report, card transactions, etc.
Prepare reports as prescribed: Detailed sales and revenue reports, Sales balance reports, etc.
Clean, arrange and store sales invoices scientifically and neatly according to regulations.
